Today's Listening Session: Steve Van Hoecke "Zahle"

Steve Van Hoecke's "Zahle" is what Peaceful Pieces is all about. The piece brings to life such beauty in its own right. Some of the most touching songs are proven to be those without lyrics. Hoecke lets his instruments tell the story. I'm so enthralled I'm at a loss for words.

Today's Listening Session: Bassline Drift "Drink the Water"

Bassline Drift has proven to be quite a musical find. The singer's voice is glorious and stunning as it floats through space. Marvelous beats are accompanied by notable basslines that lend the help from on-point vocal harmonies. I am intrigued to hear more from this duo who are proving to be a mainstay in my speakers.

Today's Listening Session: Barbara Lusch "Rock Me Sweet"

Barbara Lusch is a lovely combination of sophistication and sexy. Her latest recording "Rock Me Sweet" is a reinterpretation of loved 80's rock anthems, which brings the hits of Springsteen, Jovi and U2, to make a record that is straight from the heart. This unique recording has garnered the praise of many, myself included. To pull off these classic hits while making them her own is an incredible feat all of its own. Bravo to Barbara Lusch for breathing new life into these rock n' roll classics. Enjoy "Hot Blooded" one of my personal favorites from the album.

Today's Listening Session: Tom Levin "Mind's Eye"

Representing Sweden is folk-crossover artist, Tom Levin. Recently sharing his song "Mind's Eye", I find the single to be both honest, well-written and true to form. The piece is from "Them Buffalo" his newest endeavor. My favorite element of Tom Levin's vocals is the subtle charm throughout the track. Musically the song uses acoustic guitars and handclaps, which quickly move into a string section.
